Industrial Flanges
The most popular material grades are made from carbon steel. We sell carbon steel pipe flanges and flanged fittings. We also supply stainless steel flanges that are used for a wide range of projects. Many of the more recent projects we have been fulfilling call for flanges with a high level of corrosion resistance. The most popular industrial flange materials for these applications include inconel, incoloy, and hastalloy. These flanges are generally used in applications that involve high temperature surfaces.
Another common request is one that requires flanges manufactured for low temperatures. Regular carbon flanges, along with high yield carbon flanges, are commonly used in modern pipe infrastructure, many now in low temperature applications.

SMO 254 Flanges contain larger amounts of chromium in comparison with other steels and thus have good corrosion resistance. SMO 254 Slip-on Flanges contain about 10% of chromium. Grade SMO 254 Long Weld Neck Flanges are thermally stable and possess moderate strength even when the temperature is high. SMO 254 Threaded Flanges whose design enables combining improved resistance to pitting, high strength, stress corrosion, crevice corrosion and cracking. Grade SMO 254 Blind Flanges resists sulfide stress corrosion and chloride environments. SMO 254 Raised Face Flange is important part of duplex steel flange family. The original patent on SMO 254 RTJ Flanges was based, to some extent, on data that demonstrated that 0.5 % – 1 % copper in stainless steel produced an optimal combination of resistance to reducing acids and resistance to chlorides. SMO 254 Weld Neck Flanges contains copper only as a residual element, as do most austenitic stainless steels. The physical properties of SMO 254 Plate Flanges are essentially equivalent as described herein. However, any differences in drop – evaporation tests for SMO 254 Weldoflange are not believed to be statistically significant.

Stainless Steel Flanges is a forged or cast ring of steel designed to connect sections of pipe or join pipe to a pressure Vessel, pump or any other integral flanges assembly. Flanges are joined to each other by bolting and joined to the piping system by welding or threading. SS Flanges have only moderate resistance to carbon absorption and are not suggested for its usage in highly carburizing atmospheres. When frequent thermal cycling is involved, these Stainless Steel Slip On Flanges (often called SS SO Flanges) is resistant to about 1850 Degree F. The high chromium and relatively low nickel content of our Stainless Steel Threaded Flanges provide good resistance to high temperature sulphur bearing atmospheres.

Hastelloy Flanges is a family of austenitic nickel-chromium-based superalloys. Type Hastelloy Slip on Flanges are oxidation-corrosion-resistant materials well suited for service in extreme environments subjected to pressure and heat. Type Hastelloy Threaded Flanges can also be roll-threaded after full aging by using induction heat to 1,300 °F (704 °C) without increasing the grain size. Hastelloy Plate Flanges is retains strength over a wide temperature range, attractive for high-temperature applications where aluminium and steel would succumb to creep as a result of thermally induced crystal vacancies. Hastelloy Long Weld Neck Flange high temperature strength is developed by solid solution strengthening or precipitation hardening, depending on the alloy.

Inconel flanges, are a family of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys used for their high strength at elevated temperatures and good corrosion resistance. Because of its high thermal stability, ASTM B564 Inconel flanges can be used in service temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2200°F (982°C). The high alloy content of Inconel flanges enable it to withstand a wide variety of severe corrosive environments. In mild environments, such as the atmosphere, sea water, neutral salts, and alkaline media, there is almost no attack to Inconel flanges. In more severe corrosive environments the combination of nickel and chromium provides resistance to oxidizing chemicals, whereas the high nickel and molybdenum contents supply resistance to nonoxidizing environments.

Monel flanges are made from a nickel-copper alloy and exhibit high strength, toughness and good corrosion resistance over a wide temperature range. An outstanding characteristic of Monel Slip on flanges is that they offer exceptional resistance to hydrofluoric acid, a particularly tough acid to deal with, in all concentrations up to the boiling point. For hydrofluoric acid applications Monel Blind flanges are perhaps the most resistant of all commonly used specialty alloys. Monel alloy RTJ flanges also exhibit excellent corrosion resistance in marine applications and have reasonable corrosion resistance to sulfuric and hydrochloric acids under reducing conditions. Because of these characteristics, Monel Lap Joint flanges are often found in marine and chemical processing applications.

Alloy 20 Flanges is a nickel, iron, chromium, molybdenum and copper alloy. Typically, nickel makes up approximately 30% of its composition, with iron being found in equal if not greater amounts. This provides corrosion resistance, and specifically resistance from chloride stress cracking. Alloy 20 Slip-on Flanges is practically immune to chlorine and was designed to be used in sulfuric environments. It is commonly applied in acidic and/or corrosive environments, such as those that contain phosphoric and nitric acid. Alloy 20 Blind Pipe Flanges has proven to be excellent under corrosive conditions and various forms of media.
