SS 316L is the molybdenum-bearing austenitic SS. The high nickel and molybdenum content in this alloy is allowing it in demonstrating very good corrosion resistant properties than other alloys. It is having resistant ability against crevice corrosion and pitting in the chloride atmosphere. Additionally, this SS 316L Round Bar is providing very good tensile strength at the elevated temperature, stress-rupture, and creep-rupture properties as well as very good weldability and formability.
Grade 316L, the low carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitisation (grain boundary carbide precipitation). Thus it is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components (over about 6mm). The austenitic structure also gives these grades excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.
It is the preferred steel for use in marine environments because of its greater resistance to pitting corrosion than other grades of steel. The fact that it is negligibly responsive to magnetic fields means that it can be used in applications where a non-magnetic metal is required. In addition to molybdenum, 316L also contains a number of other elements in varying concentrations.

A high pitting resistance number indicates that the stainless steel grade has a high resistance to localized corrosion like pitting. The stainless steel is considered to be a very high end grade due to its higher strength as compared to other conventional austenitic stainless steel grades. The SMO UNS S31254 Bar has good weldable properties.
SMO 254 Round Bar is mainly comprised of 19.5% and 20.5% chromium, 17.5% to 18.5% nickel, 6% to 6.5% molybdenum like standard austenitic stainless steel grades. But unlike convention austenitic stainless steel grades, the UNS S31254 Bar contains about 0.18% to 0.22% nitrogen. The specific levels of Chromium, Nickel, Molybdenum and Nitrogen in its super austenitic 1.4547 Round Bar chemical makeup allows the SMO 254 Bar to combine its impact toughness resistance to corrosion cracking, with pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. The result is strength of the 254 SMO Bar nearly twice that of 300 series stainless steels.
The UNS S31254 or the SMO 254 Round Bar is often referred to as a “6% Moly” grade due to the content of molybdenum. The 254 SMO Round Bar has the ability to withstand high temperatures while maintaining its high strength under volatile conditions. This grade is used successfully in various applications such as Flue gas desulfurization and Chemical environments.

Stainless steel 316ti round bars (uns s31635) is titanium stabilized version of 316 grade bars. These are composed of molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. Alloy 316 ti is known as din number 1.4571. These are more resistance to general, pitting and crevice corrosion than standard nickel and chromium austenitic ss. These have many properties such as stress rupture strength, higher creep, and tensile strength. These round bars can be susceptible to sensitization or grain boundary precipitation. The surface resists grain boundary carbide precipitation at temperatures between 900- 1500 deg f which can result in instant corrosion resistance. The resistance to sensitization is achieved by the addition of titanium that stabilized structure against chromium carbide precipitation. This property is achieved by heating the products in cyclic temperatures. It reduces the susceptibility of alloy and it can be used in long exposure at higher temperatures. Like other standard grades, it offers excellent resistance to local and general corrosion.

Alloy 317/ 317L is a molybdenum-containing austenitic SS with an increased amount of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. These are available in two variants lower a higher carbon version. 317L is lower carbon version also known as UNS 31703. The lower amount of carbon provides resistance to sensitization or other thermal operations. This composition increases the resistance to chemical reduction such as acetic acid, formic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid and more.
Due to the lower carbon amount stress to rupture, high tensile strength elevated temperatures is increased. The structure of grade is non-magnetic in nature when it is annealed, but it changes to magnetic when it is exposed to the welding process.

Inconel 625 Round Bar is an alloy that is solution strengthened. Typically practised during the casting process, the metals are dissolved into one another when all the parties involved are in the molten state. This process is referred to as a Solid solution hardening. In the case of aircraft grade ASTM B446 UNS N06625, element niobium is added to the nickel-chromium matrix in order to stiffen it, in the presence of molybdenum. This combination of unusual alloyants is what makes the nickel based AMS 5666 Inconel 625 Flat Bar stock a very desirable alloy grade for varying operations across many key industrial sectors. Another commonly utilized heat process on the Alloy 625 Round Bar is that of stress relieving where the alloy has to be soaked up to a period of 4 hours at a temperature of about 900°C, following which the alloy is cooled in ambient air.

Inconel 718 Round Bar is a nickel chromium alloy bar that has up to 55% nickel in the composition. The content includes 17% chromium, 4.9% niobium, 6.6% iron minimum and aluminum, boron, carbon, cobalt, copper, manganese, phosphorus, lead, sulfur and silicon.
